Reddit user DHMIS_Fan-- shared their recent dilemma inTears of the Kingdomwith a video of one of the Zonai Device Dispensers on the fritz. Typically, feeding Zonai charges into the Device Dispensers spits out a corresponding amount of Zonai Devices that can be used to construct everything from simple trolleys all the way up to automated, laser-spewing combat drones. In this case, however, DHMIS_Fan-- found their Zonai Devices gummed up in the works of the gacha machine, resulting in trial and error attempts to get them un-jammed. With the help of Ultrahand, they were eventually successful in retrieving the goods, but the video was a hilarious reminder that even ina game as polished and inventive asTears of the Kingdom, not everything works as intended.
Despite the overwhelmingly positive reception toTears of the Kingdom, some fans are lamenting the Zonai Devices and their somewhat ephemeral nature. Meant to be constructed on the spot to solve specific challenges, some assumed they could construct vehicles that would be permanent. Others have reported that their Zonai contraptions deconstruct when they wander far enough away from them, presumably to reallocate the game’s resources. A Zonai Device Dispenser malfunctioning is an amusing quirk in a game with such massive scale, and despite technically being considered a bug, it feels almost like an immersive feature, given that nearly everyone has encountered a vending machine in real life that has eaten their cash and then jammed up.
