Update: The official trailer is now available. Original story follows.

A brand-new trailer forWWE 2K22has leaked, showcasing the new graphics and many of the superstars included in the latest wrestling game. The Royal Rumble is set to take place tonight, so the rumor is that the trailer was supposed to premiere there, but it’s already online for fans to check out.

The latestWWE 2K22trailer features Imagine Dragons' “Believer” and highlights dozens of the superstars included in the game, everyone from Sami Zayn, Brock Lesnar, Damian Priest, Charlotte Flair, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Many of the animations looks familiar, but hopefully the new physics engine makes hits and slams feel more powerful, something absent from recent installments.

The trailer also pauses for a second to showcase the dramatic reveal of The Undertaker, who has alternate costumes available to those that pre-order and getThe Undertaker Immortal Pack. This comes with three costumes from various stages of the superstar’s career: the Phantom Mask, Lord of Darkness, and Boneyard Match outfits.

But the main star this time is Rey Mysterio, whograces the cover ofWWE 2K22and is a fitting choice, considering that the superstar is celebrating his 20th anniversary of being with the WWE. He is also featured inWWE 2K22’s 2K Showcase mode. Showcase functions as the story campaign of all WWE titles and this time will feature Rey Mysterio’s iconic matches throughout his long history. As an example, there’s a glimpse of the legendary Mysterio vs Guerrero match at WrestleMania 21 in the trailer.

As previously reported, the game uses a completely rebuilt engine, mostly stemming from the disaster of a release that wasWWE 2K20. It was so universally disliked that2K Sports decided to skipWWE2K21entirely, allowing Visual Concepts to devote an extra year of development to this new title. Fans are hoping that it’s enough to turn things around.

This extra development time allowed the developers to add new features, such as theexciting return of a General Manager mode, something that has been missing from WWE games for a decade. Now called MyGM, this mode will allow players to do all the busywork of managing a wrestling league, such as managing contracts and booking shows. Players can choose from Adam Pearce, Sonya Deville, Shane McMahon, and Stephanie McMahon to build an empire.

WWE 2K22releases on March 11 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
