WWE 2K22is one of the most feature-packed games in the long-running series. Players can choose from an abundance of single-player modes, including MyGM, which makes a return after a lengthy absence.WWE 2K22also changes the gameplay, adding a new combo system that allows players to chain moves together.
WWE 2K22is probably the most stable releasein the franchise’s recent history. It’s a far cry fromWWE 2K20’s state at launch, which was heavily criticized for its glitches. Developer Visual Concepts ultimately decided to take an extra year off due toWWE 2K20’s reception, and it seems likeWWE 2K22was worth the wait. Its launch sales were more than double ofWWE 2K20in the UK, and fans can expect similar results from other regions. However, a new clip shows thatWWE 2K22is not a completely bug-free experience.

A Reddit user named shacklers_revenge uploaded a clip of a triple-threat match between Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Bobby Lashley inWWE 2K22. Seth is thrown outside the ring, and the referee starts counting him out. He reaches a count of 2, but at the same time, Reigns hits Lashley and goes for the pin. Instead of starting the pin count from 1, the referee goes directly to 3 and declares Roman Reigns the winner of the match. The referee continued from Rollins’ ring-out count, and Lashley was barely given a chance to kick out.
It’s hilarious to see the referee instantly call for the bell after just a single count, and it seems like other users have also faced a similar bug. DezziDrowned states that this glitch prevented them from winning the NXT title inWWE 2K22, and TheMehgend mentions that this bug even existed way back inWWE ’13. Johnniejpg reports that they too experienced pins in Table matches and count outs in Falls Count Anywhere. User BigMacMcLovin is making fun ofWWE 2K22’stagline, saying it “counts” different instead of hits different.
Triple threat matches usually do not feature disqualifications or count outs, so some players are surprised at the referee’s decision to start the count.WWE 2K22allows players to create match typeswithin certain limits, so it’s possible that shacklers_revenge changed the rules for this fight. While these glitches are funny and can happen in any game, Visual Concepts will probably patch this within the following few updates.
WWE 2K22is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
