It’s been over two years since the lastWWE 2Kgame came out, but the wait for a new entry in the long-running franchise is nearly over. Publisher 2K Sports anddeveloper Visual Conceptshave confirmed that theWWE 2K22release date is Friday, March 11, though there is a way that fans can actually jump in the action a few days ahead of schedule.
For most fans, theWWE 2K22release date is March 11, but those that pre-order the Deluxe Edition or nWo 4-Life bundles will instead be able to play starting Tuesday, March 8.WWE 2K22early access is just one of the perks that these bundles bring to the table, however.

The Deluxe Edition will retail for $99.99 across all platforms, netting players everything that comes with the base game plus the Undertaker Immortal Pack, a Season Pass that guarantees players access to the five planned DLC packs, a Mega-Boost for the MyRISE mode, SuperCharger packs, and limited-edition content for theWWE Supercardmobile game (exclusive to those that buy the physical version of the Deluxe Edition). Those that buy the Deluxe Edition on PS5 or Xbox Series X will also get the Starrcade ‘96Rey Mysteriopack.
The nWo 4-Life Edition, meanwhile, is more expensive at $119.99. As one might image, the nWo 4-Life edition is all about the legendary WCW faction, getting players access to nWo-themed content for the MyFACTION mode like EVO cards and nWo attires forHulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Syxx, arenas based on WCW Bash at the Beach 1996 and WCW Souled Out 1997, the WolfPac Championship, and Eric Bischoff as a playable character.
WWE 2K22’s MyFACTION mode is a brand-new game mode where players manage their very own faction of WWE superstars. MyFACTION will be the onlyWWE 2K22game mode with microtransactions, so it will definitely be interesting to see how it’s handled.
Besides MyFACTION,WWE 2K22players can look forward to a variety of other game modes, including a 2K Showcase mode all about cover athlete Rey Mysterio, the usual crop of multiplayer and single-player match types, thelong-awaited return of General Manager mode, and much more. It remains to be seen ifWWE 2K22can stick the landing, but it definitely has potential. Those that pre-order the Deluxe or nWo 4-Life editions will find out ifWWE 2K22lives up to the hype through early access come March 8.
