World of Warcraftjust shared the patch notes for phase two of theDragonflightpre-expansion patch. The new patch is the last major milestone before the full launch ofWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflighton November 28.
The new patch expands upon the Talent Trees and UI updatesfound in phase one of theDragonflightpre-patch. Phase two adds a new race and class, dungeon, and world event, plus balances and tweaks acrossWorld of Warcraft’scombat system.

Starting November 15, players will be able to make dracthyr Evokers–the new draconic-themed race and hero class. These warriors will awaken on the Forbidden Reach and play through their unique starting experience as they catch up on what they missed over the last 20,000 years in stasis. Players interested in learning more about the dracthyr shouldwatch theDragonflightLegacies animated shorts, which feature Scalecommander Emberthal, a major character they will meet on the Forbidden Reach.
Players will also be able to participate in the limited-timePrimal Storms world event inWorld of Warcraft. The Primalists conjure powerful elementals to wreak havoc across Azeroth, and players who face them can earn unique rewards including cosmetics and catch-up gear. Players can also explore Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr, the first dungeon inDragonflight. A new wing of the original Uldaman dungeon from VanillaWoWhas been discovered, and the Dragon Queen Alexstrasza charges players with uncovering the secrets found within.
World of Warcraftis also implementing tons of balance changes across its new Talent Trees and user interface updates. Thelast vestiges ofShadowlandsare also being retired, as the Threads of Fate system is being discontinued, with the last expansion now joining Chromie Time. Perhaps most importantly, the iconic silver dragon border for Rare mobs–previously removed with the new UI updates–is making its triumphant return.
Were that not enough for players to get excited about,World of Warcraftalso just announced a pre-launch livestream event. During this event, severalWorld of Warcraftdevelopers will be present to talk aboutDragonflight’sdevelopment. Lead cinematic narrative designer Terran Gregory and cinematic director Anna Morgan will also premiere the officialDragonflightlaunch cinematic. November 15 also marks the first day ofDragonflight’sTwitch drop campaigns, with the next corresponding with the expansion’s launch and the opening of the Vault of the Incarnates raid. The next few weeks promise to be an exciting period forWorld of Warcraftplayers as they count down the days untilDragonflighttakes to the skies.
