AsWorld of Warcraftprepared to launch Patch 10.1,Embers of Neltharion, a new leak emerged that gave details on a potential legendary weapon that Dracthyr Evoker players may earn. The leak also gave details on what the weapon could look like, and how it could be beneficial to Evoker players inWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflightif proven true.
As the thirteenth Class introduced inWorld of Warcraftand the third Hero Class overall, the story of the Dracthyr Evoker is intrinsically tied to the Dragon Isles. As a Hero Class that canchannel the powers of the five dragonflightsas part of their main toolkit, Evokers currently can either be a damage-dealing caster via the Devastation tree or a versatile healer as a Preservation Evoker. However, a leak from some recently datamined content gives some interesting context for what could become the Dracthyr Evoker’s first legendary weapon.

According to these leaks, the Dracthyr Evoker may receive a legendary fist weapon called “Nasz’uro, the Unbound Legacy” at an undetermined point in theDragonflightexpansion. However, the weapon itself is an inseparable part of the Dracthyr’s history as it appeared to be a reforged version of the Oathbinder gauntlet that was wielded by Neltharion the Earth-Warder to control his creations, the Dracthyr themselves, many millennia before the events of the expansion.During the course ofEmbers of Neltharion, the player character and their allies within the Black Dragonflight will cross paths with the Sundered Flame faction of Dracthyr, who have recovered Oathbinder from a Titan facility. However, the gauntlet will be broken following a confrontation between the two sides. At the time of writing, details remained light on how the Oathbinder gauntlet would be reforged into Nasz’uro, the Unbound Legacy.
The leaks also detailed that Nasz’uro would have one unique feature in combat. When the Evoker casts an Empowered spell, such as Fire Breath, one of their nearby allies will receive a buff that will increase their primary stat and their speed for 10 seconds, with the beneficiary chosen at random. Thougha potential third specialization has been teasedbefore inWorld of Warcraft, the special effect granted by this legendary weapon could serve as a way for Evokers to augment their allies in battle similar to what was teased. Only time will tell if the weapon will be a replacement for a third specialization or not.
Whether Nazs’uro makes an appearance duringEmbers of Nelthatrionor another major content updateremains to be seen at the time of writing. Nevertheless, the news of a potential legendary weapon may be enough to getWorld of Warcraftplayers excited for what lies ahead as theDragonflightexpansion continues.
