Originally, the Kalimdor Cup was supposed to end on August 28. However,World of Warcraftannounced the same day that it would be extending the event through September 4–theday beforeDragonflightPatch 10.1.7, Fury Incarnate, releases. This not only gives players an extra week to earn the rewards from the event but also provides a fun activity to occupy their time until the new content update is out.

Players can start the Kalimdor Cup races before they unlock Dragonriding on the Dragon Isles. Though the event NPCs were previously only located in Valdrakken,World of Warcraftadded new ones in Orgrimmar and Stormwind. Players can pick up the quest and participate in the races when they reach level 30, even if they don’t haveDragonflight. That said, many of the races are extremely challenging, especially on the Advanced and Reverse courses, so players trying to get Gold on all of them will want tocollect the Dragonriding Glyphs from the Dragon Islesfirst.

Many players are happy they get an extra week toparticipate in theWorld of Warcraftevent. These races are incredibly fun and challenging, and fans are enjoying revisiting their locations in Kalimdor locations during the event. Dragonriding through these old zones has many players wishing they could use the dynamic flying zone anywhere in Azeroth.

Luckily,World of Warcrafthas already confirmed that Dragonriding is comingto the rest of the game soon. It has already added Dragonriding animations for nearly every draconic mount in the game, plus other popular mounts like gryphons and wyverns, in the PTR. UntilWorld of Warcraftis ready to fully implement the system into the game, they can look forward to the Eastern Kingdoms Cup, which begins on October 4, as well as other Dragonriding Race events in Outland, Northrend, and possibly other continents fromWoW’s history.

World of Warcraftis available now for PC.
