Top Champion Geeta fromPokemon ScarletandVioletis a rather intriguing character. After years of Gym Leaders and champions adoring their positions and roles in the overall Pokemon League, Geeta’s Elite Four and eight gyms are all have to answer to her and her wishes. This leads to many of the strongest trainers inPokemon ScarletandVioletto see their positions as a difficult one.
It’s an interesting choice that not only makesthe Paldea regionfeel a bit more alive, asScarletandVioletemphasize how each character feels, but it makes fans question just who Geeta is as a person. Despite many players wondering who she is and why she runs the Pokemon League so strictly, the game doesn’t give too many direct answers. This has led to plenty of fan speculations, debates, theories, and rumors about Geeta, and many are hoping The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC will go into more detail. There’s a high chance this may be the case for a few key reasons.

Geeta’s Potential Connections to Area Zero
WhileScarletandVioletplayers may have had mixed feelings on Geeta’s battles and team, some finding it far too easy compared to previous champion battles, there was one aspect to her party that caught the attention of several fans. Geeta uses a Glimmora, a Pokemon known for its crystaline nature that looks vaguely similar toViolet’sfuturistic Paradox Pokemon. While its first form, Glimmet, can be found outside Area Zero, Glimmora can only be caught in the Great Crater of Paldea.
This has led many fans to theorize that she caught Glimmora while participating in a pastexpedition into Area Zero. However, this expedition was said to be dangerous, so many fans suspect that Geeta’s stoic, quiet, and no-nonsense personality could be because the Top Champion Geeta is an AI robot like Professor Sada and Turo, and the real Geeta died in the Crater. If true, this concept could be explored in the DLC.

Geeta Might Have Been a Blueberry Academy Student
While the theory that Geeta is an AI robot was circulating between fans before the expansion pass was revealed, details aboutThe Hidden Treasure of Area Zerohave caused a new theory to arise. In Part 2, The Indigo Disk, players will become a transfer student at Blueberry Academy, which prides itself on its Pokemon Battles. The Indigo Disk DLC is said to only begin after players have defeated Geeta and cleared the overall story.
Geeta herself has a rather large amount of blue in her color scheme, and is known for being thePokemon League’s Top Championfor a reason. In the story, she’s meant to be the last, toughest obstacle between trainers and the title of Champion. Blueberry Academy is said to be a school known for helping students strengthen their battle skills, so it feels like the perfect school for Geeta before she became La Primera. This connection could lead her to either be the reason players head to the school, or build up to her making a surprise appearance as either a supporting character or a challenging final battle.
It’s possible that both of these theories could be right. Geeta’s excellence at the Blueberry Academy might have allowed her to join the Area Zero expedition as protection. When the expedition ended in the horrific way that it did, Geeta could have ended up as a casualty, and an AI robot took her place. The original Geeta could have been born andraised in Kitakami, tying her to the first part of the DLC as well. No matter what, plenty of fans still have questions about the La Primera, and The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero would do well to answer them.
