It’s been quite some time since Wario fans received a brand-new entry in theWarioWareseries. Luckily, during its E3 2021 showcase, Nintendo finally pulled back the curtain on the next entry in the micro-game series, and it’s coming sooner than expected.WarioWare: Get it Togetherwas announced for the Switch, and it’s launching in September.
The new game was revealed alongside a short trailer that showcases some gameplay and several new micro-games that players will be trying to complete quickly. One of the big changes in this new entry is that players will be controlling several iconic characters from the series, such as Mona, Ashley, andeven Wario himself. In addition, instead of using buttons to interact with whatever is on theSwitchscreen, players will actually be moving the characters around on the screen to complete the mini-games. Finally, co-op play will also allow fans to engage in the wacky antics with a partner by their side.

WarioWare: Get it Togetherwill have over 200 microgames, and players will be able to use local wireless play to play with a friend, or both players can use one single system. Based on the games shown in the reveal trailer, it appears that most of the micro-games will be brand-new to the series, which wasn’t the case with the previousWarioWaretitle released.
WarioWare Goldwas the last time that fans had a game in the series, and it came to the Nintendo 3DS back in 2018. While it had a few new micro-games, most of them were taken from past titles and reworked for the 3DS. As a result, it was a collection of the most popular micro-games put into one superb collection. It was also one of the first times that many of theWarioWarecharacters had actual voice acting, which was a nice change for the wacky franchise.
WithWarioWare: Get it Together, it only adds to the growing list of titles that Nintendo plans to launch later this year for the Nintendo Switch. Also announced during the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct was a new 2DMetroidgame titledMetroid Dread, a newMario Partygame,anAdvance Warsremake, and much more.
While many of the E3 2021 press conferences this year felt lackluster in their reveals, it’s safe to say that this Nintendo Direct had a little bit of something for everyone, whether that be a multiplayer party game, a 2D action game, a mini-game collection, or even a specialZeldaanniversary Game and Watch system.
WarioWare: Get it Togetherwill launch for the Nintendo Switch on September 10th.
