The hype is at an all-time high forGod of War: Ragnarok. It’s been a year since the game was first announced, and recent rumors suggest thataGod of Wartrailer is set to drop next month. It would seem that next month isn’t soon enough, as some fans are starting to see the vestiges of vengeance everywhere. In the case of oneGod of Warfan, they couldn’t resist taking its titular music and quick-time events and imposing them over an intense altercation between a couple of police officers and an unusually strong suspect.
The video in question depicts two police officers attempting to restrain a suspect, separating him from his ATV. However, it takes an abrupt turn - despite bringing the individual to his knees, the police found themselves unable to bring his hands around his back. Slowly, the suspect managed to overpower the police, and even managed to bring the ATV back to a standing position. Once the suspect managed to reposition himself on the vehicle, he rode off, with both officers quickly surrendering as the suspect disappeared into the night.

What really sells the video are the edits made by Redditor Mosba19. In their free time, they borrowed some ofGod of War’sbattle music and quick-time event inputs and imposed them over the video. The result is what appears to be a sequence ripped straight out of the hack-and-slash adventure game, with the on-screen inputs coinciding with each moment the suspect managed to gain a significant advantage.
Paying close attention to the video, the suspect appears to have quite the height advantage in comparison to the police.Kratos is 6'4'' himself, and assuming the suspect has even a fraction of the demigod’s strength, it makes sense that the officers would hardly stand a chance against him. Still, despite the similarities in height, it’s clear that the suspect doesn’t share Kratos' godly luck. Not long after the incident, he was captured and taken into custody.
It may not be long before players truly get to scratch theirGod of Waritch. It’s anyone’s guess as to if the first trailer forRagnarokwill finally drop next month, though hopefully, it comes soon. At this point, much likethe Vin Diesel family memes, the excruciating wait may give way to a new wave of memes focused solely on the overwhelming strength of vengeance.
