The Agents ofValorantfeature some of the most stylish and distinct designs that Riot Games has to offer, and historically, the reveal trailers for new Agents have used this as an opportunity to explore creative symbolism. With the new Sentinel Agent Chamber on the horizon,Valoranthas pieced together a visual and auditory spectacle that gives players a few hints at his toolkit.

According to the trailer’s description, Chamber–previously dubbed Deadeye by fans–will be arriving as part of Reflection: Act III. This isn’t the first timeValoranthas added a new characterduring an event or story expansion, but while it’s difficult to say what role Chamber will be playing in the game’s narrative, the video does seem to provide a few clues.

Although Chamber is undoubtedly the focus of the trailer, it begins by showing existing Agent Brimstone apparently trapped in a glowing pink prism that is suspended in a swirling void. As Brimstone’s voice demands that whoever is in here with him “start talking,” a shadowy figure approaches his prison and replies “Avec plaisir,” which translates to “with pleasure” in French.

The next shots are dedicated to showing off Chamber’s stylish design, which combines elements of high fashion and sci-fi with the classic waistcoat look of a European gentleman, as well as avariety of shining golden gunsfloating in a pattern. The rest of the trailer is largely dedicated to visual imagery hinting at Chamber’s toolkit and some of Riot Games' excellent sound design. At the very end, Chamber selects a gun and fires a shot into Brimstone’s prison, freeing him.

Asone ofValorant’s Sentinel Agents, it is expected that Chamber will be tasked with defending and delaying the enemy team. The trailer shows him apparently slowing down time to dodge bullets, throwing a glowing card and then teleporting to its location later, and opening a card-shaped door in reality. All of this seems to suggest that Chamber’s toolkit will feature high mobility and some kind of teleportation mechanic. Several shots also display him using glowing weaponry or appearing and disappearing in a burst of flame.

Throughout the video, Chamber is shown in multiple places at once, hooking in with the theme of duality that has surfaced in Episode 3: Reflection. However, unlikesome otherValorantAgentsshowcased during the event, Chamber does not fight his double. In fact, the pair are depicted looking at each other and communicating wordlessly and seem to be on decent terms. This could suggest that the theme of duality extends into Chamber’s toolkit.
