Valkyraehas announced that she will be making a return to streaming this week after going on a rather short hiatus to spend time with family. The announcement was made via Valkyrae’s official Twitter account, which states her return to creating more streaming content onYouTubewill resume in just a matter of days.
For those unaware, Valkyrae, whose real name is Rachell Hofstetter, has largely been YouTube’s most-watched female streamer for the past three years, and is widely recognized as one of the most prominent streamers in the burgeoning industry. The prolific streamer appears to be sticking to her current platform despite many of her colleagues signing lucrative contracts elsewhere, withValkyrae signing a multi-year deal with YouTubelast year that will keep her on through at least the end of 2024.

Valkyrae initially took a step away from her usual streaming at the beginning of July to travel to Germany to attend her cousin’s wedding and to spend time with family. With both a sizable and dedicated fanbase, her followers soon began tweeting at her, wondering when the hiatus would end and usher in her return. After some time away, Valkyrae told her fans that she’ll be back in just a “few more” days, and that she has some “crazy” streams planned for when she does so.
While seemingly shorter, this actually isn’t the first time the streamer has taken a step back from streaming. A little over a year ago,Valkyrae said she’d be taking a “very long” break, but not for family reasons. Valkyrae took a substantial amount of time off to travel, taking a trip to Japan as well as New York City, among others.
Aside from online streaming, Valkyrae’s career is beginning to grant her opportunities in some big-name film and TV roles. It was revealed towards the beginning of the year that she would be voicing Squad Commander Red in Netflix’sSonic Primeanimated series, and has more recentlylanded a role inThe Family Plan, an upcoming action-comedy film starring Mark Wahlberg.
With so much apparently constantly going on, it doesn’t seem like Valkyrae has any time to rest. However, if she didn’t already sound busy enough,Valkyrae is also planning to adopt a baby. A few months ago she revealed she was ready to begin the process of adoption, albeit with rather unusual intent. Rather than adopt a baby as her own child, her mother would be the one raising it effectively like a little sibling, with Valkyrae providing financial support.
