Amazon Studiosannounced that the show will officially continue on, just as it appears as though Nathan and Nora could be deprived of their happy ending. The innovativescience-fiction show on Amazonhas been renewed for season 3, though just when people can expect to watch it on the streamer is still up in the air. “Uploadhas become a bonafide hit that continues to be one of the most-watched comedy originals on Prime Video,” said Vernon Sanders, head of global television, Amazon Studios. “The series continues to connect and provoke endless possibilities for the future of technology and humanity. With Greg’s distinct comedic take along with the dynamic creative team and talented actors, they’ve made a globally relevant series which we’re all incredibly proud to bring back another season for our customers.”
“I’m thrilled to continue the story of Nathan and Nora and the other residents of Lakeview and near-future America as they try to have fun and do the right thing in both the real and virtual worlds,” said Creator and Executive Producer Greg Daniels. Just what season 3 might entail is also unknown, though there have certainly been some hints thanks to the cliffhanger ending of season 2. The first season ofUploadfocused on a unique vision of what the afterlife would be when the culture in the near future has accepted that death isn’t the end.
The second season ofthe Amazon Prime hittook an even different approach, as it appears that there might be a way to bring people back from the dead by downloading their personalities into a kind of cloned body. However, the process that allows people to leave the digital world and be put back into a body is far from perfect. It turns out that Nathan is in a bit of danger because he’s been downloaded before the process was perfected.
