Twitch chat can be many things. For small streamers, chat can be a cozy community of friends to talk with while running a game. On larger streams, it brings together a wide range of folks where the occasional troll may spoil the mood. However, when a streamer lets Twitch chat playThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the hot mess that ensues is a guaranteed thing.

This is exactly what streamer PointCrow decided to do on stream recently, hand the controls over to Twitch chat and see what happens. PointCrow recentlycompleted a run ofBreath of the Wildwithout walking, so trying to beat the game in unusual ways is something the streamer is familiar with.

For this run, PointCrow gave chat buttons or commands they could enter to control Link, mapping these commands to the buttons in-game. Trading off in five-minute intervals, PointCrow and chat would take turns controlling the game, an exercise in complete frustration for PointCrow He would try his best to direct chat through difficult segments of the game, but one errant backflip and the whole operation falls apart.

As the run goes on, chat begins to cooperate, sensing the gravity of the task at hand. During his five minutes of control, PointCrow could right the ship, allowing this run to not go on for 43 days, like a certainTwitch chat playingDark Soulsrun from a few years back.
