This is especially surprising to hear for many, as rumors ofTerraria2 have been around since 2013yet no official releases have been announced in the past nine years.

As a result of the tease, social media users are hyping up the potential announcement with talk of what they would most be looking forward to in a sequel. Reddit and Twitter posts are buzzing with sensible requests like more Transformation items, biomes, enjoyable yet challenging bosses, to less sensible examples like “girlfriends and marriage.” The artistic side ofTerraria’s fanbase are also generating potential future designs and visions that could be seen in a follow-up to the immersive crafting game, asplenty of cosmetic items are available in gamefor players to craft and/or design themselves.

One big aspect that keepsTerrariafans coming back to the game is the prevalence of mods. Varying from slight gameplay changes to entire biome overhauls, many gamers agree mods makeTerrariaeven betteras a result. Therefore, it remains to be seen how big an overhaul thatTerraria 2could offer when there are so many pre-existing mods competing for playtime. A possible move that ReLogic may take is adapting certain fan mods and bringing them into the sequel’s lore.

Creativity is seen acrossTerraria’supdates and mods, ranging from new visual designs, musical accompaniment and so on. The recent1.4.3 update added more intense enemies to battlein game, so theTerrariadevelopers are not out of ideas yet. It remains to be seen if anything comes of this tease, but theTerrariacommunity has nevertheless joined together to share their excitement and continued love for the trailblazing action-adventure sandbox.
