Summary

AStardew Valleyplayer has shared a bizarre moment in the game that saw their farmer swallowed up by their own auto-grabber. The odd scene was undoubtedly confusing when it happened, but it’s also a uniqueStardew Valleymoment that’s funny to watch.

Stardew Valleyhas had its share of glitches and bugs like any other game, though most of the egregious ones get ironed out by the developer in time. Thankfully, not every glitch in the game is problematic, with some even being appreciated by the community, likePelican Town’s Abigail love for eating rocks. However, this glitch is a bit stranger and could have caused some hiccups for a player if they experienced it.

A brief video shared byStardew Valleyplayer SugaryyOats shows their farmer getting collected by their auto-grabber. The player is seen entering their farm’s coop, where they zip around the room collecting eggs and saying hello to their animals. After moving further into the room and clicking on a few chickens, ducks, and a rabbit, the player moves towards some animals near the auto-grabber, when their farmer suddenly performs a jump animation and vanishes. It’s as though they’ve jumped straight into theStardew Valleyauto-grabber.

SugaryyOats stopped what they were doing after realizing what had happened, and the video shows them checking their menu. However, they didn’t record if they were able to get back out, and haven’t shared any further details. In a worst-case scenario, they may have had to restart the day to fix the problem. Thankfully, the video takes place before 11 am, so they wouldn’t lose too much progress in that case.

Unfortunately for fans who may be eager to try and trigger this themselves, there’s a good chance it’s already been patched out. SugaryyOats notes that the video was recorded “a long time ago,” likely indicating that it took place prior to the recent1.6Stardew Valleyupdateand its subsequent bug hotfixes. It’s also possible that this was triggered due to a mod of some kind.

Stardew Valley Glitches

Thankfully, while this particular glitch is an odd one and may have impacted gameplay, it isn’t as spooky as some ofStardew Valley’s glitches. Several players have experienced moments with Kent “haunting” their farms, while one player’s married life quickly turned weird when Abigail started walking through theStardew Valleyplayer’s walls. WhileStardew Valleyhas some weird secrets, it’s probably for the best that players don’t have to worry about getting collected by their auto-grabbers.
