The next installment of J.J. Abrams’Star Trekreboot starring Chris Pine as Captain Kirk will begin production late this year. Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto (Spock), and Zoe Saldana (Lieutenant Uhura) are currently in talks to reprise their popular roles in the franchise.

Plot details have not been revealed yet, and the main cast has not yet officially agreed to return to the franchise.
