WithSea of Thievesalready being successful at the open world pirate concept,Skull and Boneshas a lot to live up to for many who have been awaiting the game’s release, but all hope is not yet lost for the Ubisoft title. After the announcement of the game’s beta plans, an official date forSkull and Bones’first beta will be arriving sooner than expected.

A closed PC beta forSkull and Boneswill be taking place later this month. The beta will begin on August 25 and end on August 28, giving those who register a small window to see what the game is all about. Registered players will also be able to pre-load the beta starting August 22 in order to be ready for the beta’s launch.
According to the short trailer shared by Ubisoft, the closed beta is promising epic open sea adventures filled with combat and loot. Althoughthe beta forSkull and Bonesis only on PC, it will be interesting to finally get feedback from those who get a chance to experience the long-awaited game. Another exciting feature to look forward to in the closed beta is that players will be able to play co-op with their friends, which is sure to be the best way to experience the game.
As of now, it seems as thoughSkull and Boneswon’t be released in 2023, but this closed beta will finally be an official look inside the pirate world Ubisoft has built. Although there is stiff competition withSea of Thieves, there is still the chance thatSkull and Bonescould be a completely different experience in some aspects, and those who register for the closed beta will get to make that judgment for themselves.Skull and Bonesexperiencing so many delays has been frustrating for some, but it may have been what the game needed to become a great action adventure title.
