Sea of Thieves' New Sea Forts
The focus ofSea of Thieves' sixth season will be the new Sea Forts that are going to be littered around the game’s world. TheseSea Forts act similarly to raids, but Rare has stated that solo players will be able to play and complete these events as well.
The premise is simple, stone forts have started emerging from the sea, and players are tasked with storming their way through the encampment, collecting keys, opening doors, and defeating all the spectral enemies inside. Once all the ghostly pirates have been taken care of, someunique cosmetic lootwill be given to the player. There are going to be a total of six Sea Forts added with the Season 6 update.

Sea of Thieves' New Cinematic Adventures
Possibly the most exciting addition being brought toSea of Thievesis the game’s new “Adventures” series of missions. These Adventures are going to be ongoing events that occur monthly, with a duration of around two weeks each.Sea of Thievesisno stranger to live-service missions, but this marks a big step in the game’s history, as content centered around an ongoing narrative hasn’t really been present in the game yet.
These Adventures are going to be accompanied by brief cinematics that introduce the story of the Adventure, along with some new characters that are integral to the event. Apparently, some Adventures will end with the players making a choice, the results of whichmay impact the in-game world. Following the end of an Adventure, Rare is going to sift through player data to determine which choice was most popular, and will change the environment and overworld ofSea of Thievesaccordingly.

Sea of Thieves' first Adventure arrives a little earlier than Season 6, running from February 17 to March 3. The first Adventure, titled “Shrouded Islands,“plunges Golden Sands Outpost into some mysterious fog, tasking players to uncover the cause of the fog, and rescue the inhabitants of the outpost.
Sea of Thieves' New Unraveling Mysteries
Alongside the game’s ongoing Adventures,Sea of Thievesis also introducing “Mysteries.” These Mysteries are going to take place at the same time as Adventures, giving playersa series of puzzlesto solve during the live event. Players will have to use both clues found in the game itself, while also using sources outside the game to solve the Mysteries' harder puzzles.
When Sea of Thieves Season 6 Might Drop
Right now, an exact release date for Season 6 ofSea of Thievesis not known, with only a general date of March being given on the roadmap. However, there are a few dates which fans are speculating on.
Some fans believe that Season 6 might drop as early as March 3, which marks the end of the game’s first Adventures event. Some other sections of the fan-base think that March 10 might make more sense for Season 6 to drop, as that’s whenArenas are being removedfrom the game.

Sea of Thievesis now available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
