Ghost of Tsushimais a 2020 video game that features traditional action-adventure elements with added stealth. The title places players in the shoes of Jin Sakai, a samurai tasked with defending Tsushima Island during the Mongol invasion. As Jin, players have to navigate the moral dilemma of upholding the honorable samurai code or opting for simplerways to fend off the Mongols. The game allows players to explore the vast world of Tsushima with epic mountains, expansive plains, and lush forests either on foot or horseback.
Battles can be conducted in two ways, either face-to-face with Jin’s katana or by using the stealthy ways of the Ghost. The latter allows players to eliminate foes silently and keep to the shadows. However, defeating enemies isn’t all the game is about, it takes players across the lands of Tsushima exploring historical landmarks, interacting with intriguing characters, and just appreciating the beauty of the island.
