Recently, news broke from multiple sources that Konami was apparently pursuing aSilent Hillreboot in collaboration with Sony. According to the unconfirmed reports, Sony would help with funding the game, likely in exchange for it being exclusive to the PlayStation 5. Now more details about Konami’sSilent Hillplans have leaked online, pointing to multiple new projects in the works at the company.
According to AestheticGamer, a leaker who has accurately leakedResident Evilnews in the past, Konami is potentially pursuing threeSilent Hillvideo game projects. One is the aforementionedSilent Hillrebootthat’s reportedly coming from Sony and Konami, and another is an episodic game of some kind. Apparently, Supermassive Games ofUntil Dawnfame was pursued to work on the episodicSilent Hillgame, though plans fell through.

As for the third possibleSilent Hillproject, apparently Konami and Kojima are in talks for him to make aSilent Hillgame. AestheticGamer stressed that theHideo KojimaSilent Hillgame"isn’t a thing yet," but that Sony and Konami would also likely split the bill for that project as well.
This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard rumblings of anewSilent Hillgame being developed by Hideo Kojima. Rumors started swirling months ago that, against all odds, Kojima and Konami were in active discussions about a newSilent Hillgame, and while they seemed unbelievable at the time, they seem like a much more likely possibility now. Of course, fans should still keep their expectations in check and take everything with a grain of salt until something official is announced.
Even if something official is announced, fans may want to remain cautious until the newSilent Hillgames are actually available for purchase.Silent Hills' cancellationis still a sore spot for fans of the franchise, and it’s possible that the newSilent Hillprojects could be canned before they can even really get off the ground.
