Riverdaleis a show that receives a lot of hatred for the quality of writing, including from many who would count themselves fans of the series. However, there are some great quotes that come from throughout the show.
Related:Riverdale: Weirdest Things That Have HappenedCheryl Blossom is a prominent character that is notable for her savage demeanor and has been attributed to many of the most brutal quips in the show’s history. From her many quotes, the very best are among the most chilling inRiverdalehistory.

8“If This Were The 18th Century, I’d Have You Beheaded”
Cheryl has long beenconsidered a dictatorial rulerwithin the limits ofRiverdale, and it’s no surprise that she comes out in season 3 with this line which sounds akin to the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland with the level of bloodthirsty malevolence which it exhibits.
Simply being corrected by another student was enough to set her off on one of her tyrannical outbursts which makes her sound like a fairy tale villain more than a high school student. Cheryl has always been more of a black-and-white villain than any other character in the show.

One of the fixtures of Cheryl’s speech over the years has beenher absolute refusalto use anybody’s name while talking to them. This particularly amusing quip from the first season is just one example of the colorful ways she has described her peers while addressing them.
Other names include “hair models of the damned”, “closet monster” and “nightmare Smurfette” to name but a few. It is extraordinary the unusual lengths that Cheryl will go to just to avoid ever using anyone’s name.

6“Here I Invented Red, I Am Red.”
There is something so inherently antagonistic about characters that only dress in red, and Cheryl is a character that not only embodies but knowingly attempts to completely trademark the color. This extreme quote goes to show her narcissism is truly on another level.
Viewers have always been aware of the degree to whichCheryl is a narcissist, but in being so open and willing to show that she is aware of the fact, her character takes it to another level. Her tendency to showcase how brazenly selfish she is acting as more of a defense mechanism than anything else.

5“My Body Is Perfection, You Crone!”
Cheryl, once again, is completely willing even in the case of a teacher to clap back in whatever way she sees fit. Anyone, including someone in a position of authority over here, should beware of the idea of irritating her in any way.
Related:Game Rant’s Ultimate Netflix GuideCheryl is a classic teen villain, seen many times over the years, but not often so prominently explored as a leading character over so many seasons of a show. The difference in the way she is presented inRiverdaleover how she would be shown in a 1980s high school movie is extreme.

4“Faux Lesbian Kissing Hasn’t Been Taboo Since 1994”
Another way in which Cheryl is different from the classichigh school movie villainsof previous decades is her complete lack of care for who people are. She doesn’t care or focus her villainy on things as trivial as the sexuality of the other characters in the show. Although she does call out Kevin early in the show for being a stereotypical gay best friend character.
Also in the first season, Cheryl shows disregard for Betty and Veronica kissing by saying it isn’t taboo any longer. Not only did this quickly show the ways the show was progressing from the old style of the comics it was based on, it was also a very amusing moment that broke some tension in the scene.

3“You’ve Got The Vocabulary Of A Baked Potato”
This quote, besides being another amusing one from Cheryl, showcases how she goesabout her ruthless mocking of everybody and everything. As opposed to focusing on specific details, she goes for more sweeping generalizations.
It’s almost as if nobody is worthy enough of her attention for her to come up with more specific insults. She’ll go vaguely after someone’s intelligence rather than come up with a more direct attack that focuses on their appearance or personality.

2“Listen Up Fives, A Ten Is Speaking”
It isn’t like Cheryl doesn’t have her human moments, but occasionally, or frequently, she manages to slip into overdrive as her self-confidence takes off, and she begins to sound more like a two-dimensional villain from a cheap Netflix coming-of-age movie than a fleshed-out character.
When she makes this proclamation, she does give off the vibe of being the evil girl from a badPitch Perfectrip-off, but that’s because she is meant to represent the style of character that she was once in the Archie comics of old. Her self-image certainly doesn’t need improvement.

1“My Claustrophobia Acts Up In Small Houses”
This final quote is one of the most sickeningly villainous that Cheryl comes out with over the course of the show. Said in Archie’s house, as a means of demeaning him for not having as much money or as large a home as her, Cheryl was only out to cause pain and once again provehow much she thinksshe is better than anyone else.
Already quotes have proven she thinks she is better than people because of her intelligence and looks, but simply resorting to Sharpay-esque “rich is better” quotes makes Cheryl feel particularly remorseless in her villainy.
