UPDATE:According to Vanity Fair, the crew member who tested positive for coronavirus was Robert Pattinson. Though still unconfirmed by Warner Bros and Pattinson’s representative, Vanity Fair is reporting the news has come from highly placed sources. Original news post continues below.

After recently returning to filming, production has been suspended again onThe Batmanafter a crew member tested positive for coronavirus.

Confirming the news, a Warner Bros spokesperson said “A member ofThe Batmanproduction has tested positive for Covid-19 and is isolating in accordance with established protocols filming is temporarily paused.”The suspension comes after several months of delays after initial filming was shut downdue to the COVID pandemic with only 3 weeks worth of footage shot, though Warner Bros are hopeful that filming will be completed by the end of the year providing there’s no further positive cases on set.

With its release pushed back from the original date of June 2021 to October,The Batmanwas one of many productions to fall foul of the current pandemic lockdown. This latest suspension comes as a blow afterthe first teaser was shown at DC’s online FanDome event to an almost universally positive reception.
