During the roughly 40 minute presentation, gamers received updates about upcoming games, such asSplatoon 3andKirby and the Forgotten Land, while also getting first looks at never-before-seen titles, likeXenoblade Chronicles 3. In addition to these upcoming releases, the video unveiled some exciting news for Nintendo fans regarding the famousPortalseries.
Among the bits of news from the February 9 Nintendo Direct, it was announced that thePortal: Companion Collectionwas coming to the Nintendo Switch. During the video, it was revealed that this collection contained both theiconicPortalfrom 2007and the critically acclaimed sequelPortal 2from 2011. This announcement was doubtlessly a pleasant surprise for numerous fans of Valve’s classic series, as it will give them the option to play on the go with the Switch.

Unfortunately, a release date for this upcoming bundle ofPortalgames was not given. However, fans did learn some other details about the collection, such as the cost. According to Valve, gamers will be able to purchase it for $19.99. In addition, the company revealed that multiplayer support was coming to the Nintendo Switch. Based on the information from the developer,Portal 2will feature local, online, and even split-screen co-op.
Besides the nostalgic fans that are excited to playPortal: Companion Collectionwhen it releases sometime this year, this bundle offers those that have yet to try these classic games a perfect opportunity to see what they were missing out on.
