On the official JapanesePokemonTwitter account, news has been shared that pre-orders for the Pikachu-shaped Bluetooth speaker have already opened via the JAM website, the company’s official partner in producing the item. According to the website, the item is priced at 8,250 yen or around $62 USD and is scheduled to ship mid-February 2023. In terms of size, the speaker’s dimensions are 18cm length x 11.5cm width x 20cm height. One of the speaker’s main features include allowing users to connect through their mobile device, tablet, or computer via the Bluetooth 5.1 technology.
Other features of the Bluetooth speaker include it being light enough at 450 grams to be portable as well as being “drip proof.” This means that the product is waterproof with most activities involved around daily life, so it can safely be placed in kitchens or bathrooms. Considering thatPikachu is an Electric-type Pokemonand is naturally resistant to the element of water, fans may find this feature quirky and amusing. What’s more, the Bluetooth speaker is in the shape of the pocket creature, making it a cute item to display, especially in rooms that arePokemon-themed.
