Pokemon GO’s Season of Light is underway, and one of the first events that players can participate in is the 2022 version of Psychic Spectacular. The limited-time eventruns from September 6 until September 12and gives Pokemon trainers the chance to catch a ton of Psychic-type Pokemon. This will come in handy for those trying to complete someCosmic Companion questline steps, as they require players to catch dozens of Psychic-type Pokemon.

Step 1 Completion Rewards:Elgyem Encounter, 30x Poke Balls, 10x Great Balls
The Timed Research Tasks for thePsychic Spectacular eventare pretty straightforward, as one can tell by looking at the repeated Curveball tasks. There are tasks in total, and completing each one will grant players an encounter with Elgyem, a Psychic-type Pokemon introduced in the Unova region.
To see the list of Timed Research Tasks in-game, players can press on the binoculars icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen and then press the ‘Today’ tab.
The good thing about there being a ton of Elgyem to catch is that players should be able to gather enough Elgyem Candy to evolve it into Beheeyem. 50 Candy will be needed, and players should try touse Pinap Berries during the encounterto get more Candy from the catch.
Once players finally make 42Curveball Throws inPokemon GO, they’ll earn yet another encounter with Elgyem, as well as 30 Poke Balls and 10 Great Balls. The trick to doing the perfect Curveball throw is to spin the Poke Ball in the center of the screen (clockwise or counterclockwise) and then throw it in the opposite direction. Hitting the inside of the circle surrounding Pokemon will increase the catch rate, so aim carefully.
