Pokemon GOis always giving its legions of eager Pokemon trainers a variety of ways to capture their favorite monsters. The massive AR game has frequent events starring some of its most popular creatures withthe monthly Community Daysbeing one of the most iconic. With September’s Community Day less than two weeks away, the team behind the mobile title recently announced the Pokemon to be featured during October’s event.
September is already looking to be a jam-packed month forPokemon GO. The title’s Season of Mischief event started at the beginning of the month with players able to catch the mythical Pokemon Hoopa for the first time. The Psychic Spectacular event made its return yesterday and a Fashion Week event featuring some stylish creatures will debut later this month. However, thePokemon GOteam is clearly looking ahead, recently announcing October’s Community Day.

Pokemon GO’s October Community Day will take place on October 9 from 11 AM to 5 PM local time and will feature the Gen 3 Ghost-type Pokemon, Duskull. Trainers will see increased spawn rates for the Pokemon with increased rates to encounter a shiny variant. Players who evolve Duskull intoits third-stage evolution Dusknoirduring the event will also receive a special move alongside their Dusknoir, Shadow Ball. To help players evolve their Duskulls quickly, the Community Day will also feature free Timed Research awarding trainers with up to four Sinnoh Stones.
Much like other Community Days, the game’s store will also feature a number of promotional items to aid trainers during their Pokemon-catching adventures. The shop will feature 30 Ultra Balls trainers can collect at no cost as well as a one-time purchase Community Day Box with plenty of resources for 1,280 PokeCoins. Trainers will also be able to purchase the exclusive Special Research story, Nothing Dull About Duskull, through the shop for only $1 USD. The event will feature Community Day standards such as tripled drop rates for Stardust on captures and increased durations on Incense and Lure Modules.
2021 has seen plenty of major additions to Niantic’s global phenomenon inPokemon GO.Since December of last year, the mobile title has slowly beenadding creatures fromPokemon’s sixth generationas well as a slew of new shiny variants of pre-existing Pokemon.
