Sandile and its evolutions have been available inPokemon GOever since the Seasons of Change: Part 2 event which took place back in 2020, with the exception of its shiny variants. However, that is all set to change with an all-new event.
As part ofPokemon GO’s World of Wonders: Taken Over event, a plethora of changes are taking place in the game, including the return of Shadow Mewtwo andShadow Groudon. Team GO Rocket and Sierra, Cliff, and Arlo will be using new Shadow Pokemon as well, so players have the option to get them as well. Amid that, there is a shiny debut taking place in the event as well, with the release of Shiny variants of Sandile and its evolutions.

How to Get Shiny Sandile
Sandile is a unique Pokemon, considering that it has a very rare type matchup of Ground andDark type. It is weak to Bug, Fairy, Fighting, Grass, Ice, and Water types and is strong against Electric, Psychic, Dark, Ghost, Poison, and Rock type Pokemon. As far as its stats are concerned, it has a decent spread of 1172 CP, 132 ATK, 69 DEF, and 137 STA. Here is how to get the shiny version of the Pokemon.
Shiny Sandile Through 12km Eggs
Currently, Sandile is one of the rarest Pokemon inPokemon GObecause it is only available in 12km eggs. An infographic on the Silph Road subreddit gives players better insights into how hard it is to get a Shiny Sandile, with only 0.20% of an egg containing the elusive Pokemon. The best way to get a Shiny Sandile is by getting as many 12km eggs as possible, which can be obtained by defeatingTeam GO Rocket GO Grunts.
Unfortunately, the odds aren’t boosted for this event, so players will have a hard time getting a shiny variant. With the more eggs they hatch, the odds raise the odds significantly. With about 100 eggs, players have almost an 18% chance of getting a shiny Sandile, which is significantly better than hatching a single egg. Players can use Super Incubators to improve hatch distances, which should allow them to reach their goal much faster.

How to Get Shiny Krokorok & Krookodile
Once players have a shiny Sandile, all they need to do is evolve it to get a shiny Krokorok & Krookodile. Now this is again quite tricky when it comes to Sandile because players need a whooping125 candies in total to get a Krookodile. For evolving Sandile to Krokorok the cost is 25 candies, but rises significantly to 100 candies for the last evolution.
