Earlier this week, strange eggs and the return ofShadow Mewtwowere both leaked by dataminers digging throughPokemon GO’s latest update files. Fans didn’t have to wait long for that content to be incorporated into the popular augmented reality mobile game, as new Special Research has been added to mark the occasion.
The newPokemon GOSpecial Research is called An Inter-egg-sting Development, and is similar to the Team Rocket Special Research that has been added in the past. Players will learn about Team Rocket’s new Strange Eggs, as well as earn a ton of rewards for completing each one of the available tasks.

Here are all thePokemon GOAn Inter-egg-sting Development Research tasks and rewards.
Step 1
Rewards: 500 Stardust, 10 Pokeballs, 10 Razz Berries
Pokemon GOplayers can catch Shadow Pokemon by defeatingTeam Rocket grunts, who can be found at corrupted PokeStops or floating around in balloons.
Step 2
Rewards: 1,500 Stardust, 10 Great Balls, Larvitar Encounter
Purifying Shadow Pokemon inPokemon GOis a simple matter of catching them and then spending some Stardust so that they are no longer corrupted.
Step 3
Rewards: 1,500 Stardust, 3 Golden Razz Berries, Toxicroak Encounter
Team Rocket leaders inPokemon GOare Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra. They are typically tough boss battles, and players will have to fight all three of them again in the next step.
Step 4
Rewards: 5 Hyper Potions, 1 Rocket Radar, 3 Revives
The tasks in Step 4 are self-explanatory. Players will have to have a team strong enough to defeat Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra. It won’t be busy, but it’s the only way that players will be able to advance to Step 5.
Step 5
Rewards: 3,000 Stardust, 1 Fast TM, 1 Charged TM
Defeating the Team Rocket leaders will eventually lead players to a confrontation with their boss,Team Rocket leader Giovannihimself. This won’t be a walk in the park, but defeating him will get players a ton of rewards.
Step 6
Step 6 of the Inter-egg-sting Development Research has no tasks for players to complete, just rewards to collect. Upon reaching this step,Pokemon GOplayers will get 6,000 XP, 3 Max Revives, 20 Ultra Balls, and 1 Elite Charged TM.
