ThePokemonfranchise has over 25 years of success under its belt, and in that time, its merchandise has reached incredibly creative heights. Fans of the series' iconic pocket monsters have been able to buy them as clothing decorations, mask designs, and a wide variety of collectible figures. Now,Pokemonfans can even buy a Gengar-themed engagement and wedding ring.Gengar is known as the Shadow Pokemonand it is the final stage of the first Ghost Pokemon evolution line available in the Gen 1Pokemongames. It evolves from Haunter, which evolves from Ghastly, and the three share a spiky purple design sensibility. The whole evolution line appears to be modeled after the concept of mischievous ghosts that haunt the living.RELATED:Pokemon Fan Artist Makes Elden Ring-Inspired Takes on Golett and GolurkJapanese jewelry maker U-Treasure has recently shared designs for a Gengar-themed engagement ring and accompanying wedding ring, allowingPokemonfans to have an adorable ghost haunting their nuptials. This isn’t the first time U-Treasure has produced anofficialPokemonwedding ring, but it may be one of the most clever. Gengar is a Pokemon well-known for its ability to phase through objects and appear out of nowhere, and U-Treasure incorporated those traits into the wedding ring design.

The engagement ring designfeatures a tiny Gengarsitting to the right of the jewel and propping it up with one arm. The figure features lovingly rendered back spines, tiny eyes, and even a grin with individual teeth. In the wedding ring, however, things take a turn for the surreal as Gengar is shown phasing out of the ring band itself. The dual-typed Ghost/Poison Pokemon takes center stage as the metal ripples around it, making it the main decoration the ring design has to offer. Fans can pick between two versions of the wedding ring: the Clear Version, which features a diamond located on the outside, and the Purple Version, which features an amethyst located on the inside.

Furthermore, both designs are available in multiple materials. The options provided for the most expensive tier of rings, which cost 110,000 yen —about $923 USD— are 950 platinum, 18-karat white gold, 18-karat yellow gold, or 18-karat pink gold. Apparently, the cost of the gemstone is considered separate. A secondary tier of rings is priced at 37,400 yen, or about $309 USD, and features silver bands with cubic zirconia stones. All versions of the rings are currently available to order, and the silver versions can be reserved until April 18. Whichever versionPokemonfans decide to pursue, they are guaranteed toreceive a grinning Gengarto spice up their married life.
