Now thatPokemon SwordandShieldhave released, there are now eight generations of starter Pokemon. Players can choose their first Pokemon, but can’t choose their types. They are what they are. It is entertaining to imagine what some of these starters would look like if their types were rearranged, however. One fan took this idea and made it a reality through a piece of artwork that switches up theSwordandShieldstarter types.
As fans know, when a trainer begins their journey, they can choose from grass, water, or fire-type Pokemon. For the latest title, Grookey, Sobble, and Scorbunny fit those roles, respectively. However, artist ill_be_Frank_wit_you has reimagined these critters as completely different types. Grookey is now a firey primate, Scorbunny is now a water bunny, and Sobble has grown some foliage. The artist has applied the rework to their evolutions as well.

This isn’t the first time the artist has dabbled with this concept. A few years back, they worked their magic on the original Generation 1 Pokemon. Anyone who has wondered what Venusaur would look like as a fire-type, this artist has them covered. In that piece, Charizard and Blastoise also get the type-change treatment, so be sure and check out their work.
