This isn’t entirely new to some fans, as Nintendo announced that the firstBayonettagame would be getting this physical version back in June, alongsidethe release date ofBayonetta 3. A tweet from Nintendo’s official Twitter account reminds fans that this release is imminent, as it is exactly one week away.

This physical release ofBayonettawas first announced alongsideBayonetta 3’s Trinity Masquerade Edition. In this Special Edition, there are two extra goodies for longtime fans. A 200-page artbook based on the game will be included, along with a special artwork sleeve for the three Switch boxes that the game will come in. This new boxed release for the originalBayonetta, alongside the Switch box ofBayonetta 2, will allow fans to utilize the Trinity Masquerade’s special title sleeves to create a vibrant panoramicBayonettaphysical collection.

It should be noted that the firstBayonettagame isn’t a Switch exclusive, as it was originally launched on PS3 and Xbox 360, before getting Steam and other console ports years later. Players looking to revisit the first game have a variety of platforms to choose from, while its sequels are Switch exclusive. This physical release should be a great piece for any collector, giving them a unified lineup of Switch boxes based on the series.
