Reviewers Are Praising Biomutant Switch Performance
While it didn’t exactly receive universal critical acclaim,Biomutantis still commonly mentioned in conversations about thebest post-apocalyptic games ever made. Its world design is definitely one of its strong points, as it juxtaposes the bleak ruins of human civilization with some absolutely stunning scenery. Its graphics underwent a noticeable downgrade to accommodate Nintendo’s 7-year-old console, but the good news is that Experiment 101 appears to have achieved some praiseworthy performance. Many reviewers are hence reporting thatBiomutantruns at a relatively stable 30 frames per second, with dips below that frame rate being few and far between.
Some Switch players did notice small traversal stutters when moving at a high speed for a prolonged period of time, which may be caused by the game not being able to load all of its world assets quickly enough. However, the issue was reportedly alleviated with theBiomutantday-one patch, which bumped the game’s version number up to 1.0.1.
Overall, thelong-time-coming Switch version ofBiomutantappears to be another competent port to Nintendo’s hybrid console. It also makes use of the Switch’s gyro controls to allow aiming by tilting a controller, which is the same feature that was already implemented in the game’s PlayStation 5 version.
