ANo Man’s Skyplayer has expressed their love for theToy Storymovies by creating a huge replica of Andy’s bedroom. Given that the first two releases are considered thehighest rated Pixar movies ever made,Toy Storyas a franchise is something that many have nostalgic feelings for. As such, it’s not too uncommon for gamers to come along and reimagine assets from the films in their favorite releases, though Hello Games' space exploration title is perhaps not the first port of call many would think of.
WhileNo Man’s Skyhad something of a disastrous launch when it came out in 2016, it’s since gone on to becomeone of the most immersive open-world games around. While the crux of the experience involves flying through outer space, discovering planets, and just getting to see a galaxy’s worth of content, the title also has a pretty substantial crafting feature. Many fans are more than keen to create some elaborate bases, and in some instances, they’ll do recreations of their favorite movies.

That’s what Reddit user AcoupleofIrishfolk has done, at least. A recent thread shows they’ve managed to recreate Andy’s bedroom fromToy Storyin the PS4 version ofNo Man’s Sky. The locale has been crafted in such a way that the player is tiny when compared to things like the bed, almost as if they themselves are a toy. It’s a pretty authentic reimagining of the famousToy Storysetting, and many in the comments have praised the user for their creativity. While it looks like it would have taken a very long time to make, they say they only spent an hour making it, modestly telling people that it’s basically a big open box with a lot of “iconic clutter” inside it.
In any case, it’s an impressive build and one that many will immediately recognize. No Man’s Skyhas certainly come a long wayfrom the initial launch. Many players who were anticipating the game felt the studio had been dishonest about the content they would get to see when the game released. Despite the backlash, or perhaps because of it, the developer has continued to work on the title and improved it in myriad ways.
Hello Games continues to put out new content forNo Man’s Sky, such as the recent Endurance 3.99.1 or Polestar expedition updates. The game has had one of the most successful redemptive arcs in gaming history, and much of its success can be attributed to just how much players can do, as well as the mind-boggling amount of space there is to discover.
No Man’s Skyis available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with a Switch version releasing on July 01, 2025.
