Marvel’s Avengersfans are finally set to get some big news about the game soon, as the next War Table stream will include information on its Hawkeye DLC. The next-gen versions ofMarvel’s Avengerswill also be shown off, and hopefully release dates will accompany the news.
For those unfamiliar with War Tables, the monthly streams are used to updateMarvel’s Avengersfans on what content is coming to the game while recapping the previous month and addressing community concerns. The last War Table forMarvel’s Avengersarrived near thelaunch of its Kate Bishop DLC, so it has been some time since players last heard about progress being made on the game. An update will come on February 16.

Crystal Dynamics confirmed the War Table’s arrival via a post on the officialMarvel’s AvengersTwitter account. The Tweet promises a look at Hawkeye’s “Future Imperfect” operation, which will continue the time travel-heavy story that wasstarted inMarvel’s AvengersKate Bishop’s DLC. As teased in a previous War Table, as well as the image attached to the post, Clint Barton will be doing battle with Maestro, a twisted version of the Hulk from an alternate reality. The image also shows Clint wielding a sword, hinting at some Ronin-inspired gameplay.
Though the Tweet only mentions the Operation will be shown, which could imply a story trailer only, Crystal Dynamics will likely show gameplay of Clint Barton’s Hawkeye in action. Seeing how the originalHawkeye differs from Kate Bishopwill be interesting, as a good showing from Clint Barton could make the rest ofMarvel’s Avengers’ leaked DLC roster more appealing. With many of the post-launch characters boasting similar powers and designs, Clint’s arrival could serve as a blueprint for future additions.
The tweet also promises a look at thePS5 and Xbox Series X versionsof the game, with the next-gen launch being an important one forMarvel’s Avengers. It is a major chance to win over new players and bring back those that fell off from the game due to a lack of content, as the update visuals and smoother performance seen in these versions could be a major incentive to return. If paired with the Hawkeye DLC’s release, the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions could be the massive boost thatMarvel’s Avengersneeds.
With these being the two main talking points of the February 16 War Table, deep dives and launch date announcements may be coming for Hawkeye and the next-gen versions ofMarvel’s Avengers. This year is abig year forMarvel’s Avengers, as it will surely determine the game’s fate — though this War Table announcement may be a promising start.
Marvel’s Avengersis out now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
