Infinity Nikki Beta Release Window
TheNikkiseries isn’t new, comprising four games with the first one releasing all the way back in 2012. While thesemobile games focused mostly on the dress-up genre, the developers are taking it a step ahead by incorporating open-world elements into the game. Nikki along with her friend Momo embarks on a journey to save Miraland and collect various outfits that will grant her different abilities. From floating to purifying, gliding, and even shrinking, these outfits look all set to offer unique experiences to players, who will need to solve an array of challenges as they make their way through Miraland. While the exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, the beta is slated to arrive sometime in Q3 2024.
The characters in the game, especially Momo, remind fans ofPokemon, although itmight not be as apparent asPalworld’s Pals. The sequences where the players control Momo with the shrinking outfit in the trailer have platforming sections similar toSuper Mario Odyssey, while the overall look and feel of the game is moreGenshin Impact-like.
The developers have also highlighted that the world of Miraland will also serve as a place where players can simply relax and partake in several activities, something which has sparked theStardew Valleycomparisons. While the comparisons fans have been making might sound quite absurd, they aren’t completely far-fetched. How much of an impact these games had onInfinity Nikkiis something only time will tell, but the initial reception from PlayStation fans seems to be quite positive, to say the least.
