The Pokemon Company is releasing a newPokemon Scarlet and Violettrailer tomorrow, September 7. It’s unknown what this trailer will reveal, but given thatPokemon Scarlet and Violethave only confirmed 13 new Pokemonso far, it seems safe to say hopes are high.
According to recent leaks, there are 100+ new Pokemon in this generation. That’s a promising number, but with only a little over two months until release, many fans are upset by how little they know aboutPokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Nonetheless, they will learn something tomorrow. The newPokemon Scarlet and Violettrailer will go live on September 7 at 6 am PT/8 am CT. As a full trailer, not to be compared to the 45-second competitive trailer that revealed the legendary base form Cyclizar, it should hopefully contain some good information. As always, new Pokemon are on the top of that list, but many fans also want to see the villains, some story points, and more. It has been confirmed that there arethree major storylines inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, with one of those focused on a treasure hunt, but the other two are unknown. Presumably one is the Gym Challenge, and the other is tied to the Paradox Pokemon/villain team. But it’s hard to say for sure.
Going into this trailer, fans should likely manage their expectations. ExpectingPokemon Scarlet and Violetto show its legendary quartet, starter evolutions, AND a handful of new Pokemon seems unlikely, given how tightly it is keeping stuff to its chest. Fans shouldn’t expect to see a lot of the new Paldean Pokedex, but at least a handful of new Pokemon will likely be shown, alongside other features and perhaps storylines. It’s not impossible Game Freak introduces Paradox Pokemon, but getting all of this sounds like too much.
Hopefully, though, all of that information is on the horizon. ThisPokemon Scarlet and Violettrailer could hopefully be the first major step into a full-blown marketing campaign for the games, with more and more news coming in as the games draw near. Really,Pokemon Scarlet and Violet could reveal nothing else, and they would still sell like hotcakes at release, but that’s not really fair to fans.Choosing to pre-orderPokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violetis already hard, because of so little information, and that’s something Game Freak and The Pokemon Company have to be aware of.
