Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2players can now download Update 1.08 for the newly-released first-person shooter game, but those on Xbox may be dismayed when they see just how big the update file is. The latestCall of Dutygames have had massive file sizes, and sometimes updates for the games have been as equally out of control. The platforms receiving the latest update forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2are not being treated equal, however.

Those playingCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStaiton 5 can download Update 1.08 for less than 1 GB. However, those playing the Xbox One or Xbox Series X versions ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2have to download nearly 50 GB worth of data. It’s unclear why Xbox gamers are being forced to download so much more data when compared to their PC and PlayStation counterparts, but this isn’t the first time this has happened with aCall of Dutygame on Xbox. It’s also not the only way that Xbox gamers are getting the short end of the stick with the new game, asModern Warfare 2players on Xbox can’t turn off crossplay.
