Marvel’s Avengersfans on PlayStation have been looking forward to Spider-Man’s arrival for over a year, and the hero’s release is finally imminent. With the wallcrawler dropping next week, Crystal Dynamics has revealed plenty of hisMarvel’s Avengerscosmetics, and now fans know the exact skin count.

It will certainly be interesting to see how muchMarvel’s Avengers’ Spider-Man DLCpleases fans, as it was recently revealed that the hero will be getting no new story missions. While this does make sense, as the character being exclusive to one platform has already angered PC and Xbox users enough, the extra stories accompanying heroes like Black Panther and Hawkeye were a solid way to introduce them. However, while fans could end up being disappointed in this lack of content, they should be happy to know thatMarvel’s Avengerswill be releasing plenty of skins for the friendly neighborhood hero.

While it is unclear if anyMCU-inspired Spider-Man skins will be included, or if other memorable comic looks like 2099 will be available, an IGN preview with the hero has confirmed that there are “around 40 suits” to unlock. This is obviously a massive amount, and IGN has confirmed that the outfits will be purchased in the marketplace and earned via a hero card like the game’s other costumes. It is unclear if Spider-Man will haveearnableMarvel’s Avengerscosmetics, though Crystal Dynamics has revealed another costume for the character.

The costume in question is a modern take on Spider-Man’s Wrestler outfit, a costume that was a crucial part of his journey to becoming a superhero. Adapted in Insomniac’sMarvel’s Spider-Manseries and given a unique look in the originalSpider-Manmovie from Sam Raimi, the costume has followed the character into several adaptations. Worn during his attempts to make money as a wrestler shortly after he got his powers, the suit is tied to the death ofUncle Benand is a prototype of his iconic costume.

However, with the Wrestler suit from the comics being relatively basic, as the original version was white and theUltimate versionwas just a sweatshirt and mask, it makes sense for Crystal Dynamics to give it an upgrade. The new Wrestler suit keeps the blue mask from the Ultimate version, though it fully covers the eyes with red lenses and looks like a luchador’s headgear. The sweatshirt has been replaced with a red hoodie that has blue and black accent colors, with shorts, pants, and an exposed neck helping to capture the homemade look.

Whilethe Noir Suit and Spider-Armorscould prove more popular, comic readers and dedicated Spider-Man fans will likely love to see this outfit getting some appreciation. With dozens of looks available, though, there should be a suit for every Spidey fan.

Marvel’s Avengersis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
