InLike A Dragon: Ishin, Sakamoto Ryouma is able to deepen his bond with a number of different characters all over the city. Maxing out his bond with someone unlocks unique rewards and sometimes unlocks new features, and one clear example of this is the various animals he can befriend.
Like A Dragon: Ishinallows players to befriend several different animals that are found around the city, and maxing out their bond allows them to adopt them and bring them home. Once back at home with Haruka, the six pets can provide several useful benefits to players, so this guide will explain where to find them all and how they work. Players will need to unlock “Another Life” and gain access to the farm before they can find any of the pets.

The Barking Dog
One of the easiest pets to locate is the Barking Dog, found at the location marked on the map below, which is in Rakugai (Teramachi). Players arriving at the location will learn that nearby residents are planning to kill a stray dog since it never stops barking, and Ryouma plans to fix this by bringing it bones, so it has something to chew on instead of barking.
Bones can be acquired from the Pawn Broker nearby, and after giving the dog a bone and leaving for a bit, Ryouma can return to give it another bone. Repeat this process until the bond meter fills up, and the residents will decide to kill it anyway, causing Ryouma to adopt it in order to save it from this unnecessary bloodthirst. Players are offered a choice of three names to give the dog, and then it is sent back to Ryouma’s farm.
Like all dogs,the Barking Dog will randomly dig up items periodically, which can be retrieved from in front of the Dog House (assuming players have purchased the Dog House using a small amount of Virtue).
The Injured Dog
This unfortunate hound can be found in Mukurogai (First Floor), and Ryouma will need to help it heal byvisiting it and giving it medicineto fill up its bond meter. Leaving for a little, doing an activity or sidestory, and then returning should refresh Ryouma’s ability to give medicine to the Injured Dog.
After the dog is all patched up, Ryouma can adopt it and bring it back to his farm, where it joins the Barking Dog as a chief supplier of unearthed items.

The Patient Dog
The last available dog is reminiscent of Hachikoand refuses to move from its current spot despite being very hungry. It can be found on the west side of Fushimi, in the area called Yashikimachi. to adopt this dog, Ryouma will need to bring it food regularly to fill up its bond meter (and stomach). After this is done, Ryouma is able to adopt this dog too, bringing it back to the farm to join the other two.
The Filthy Cat
This poor cat can be found in Fushimi at the docks, in the area called South Yashikimachi, andRyouma doesn’t need to do anything except visitand clean the cat regularly until its bond meter is full. Once the cat is all cleaned up, Ryouma can bring it home, where it will occasionally bring him a bonus item when he fulfills a request.

The Hungry Cat
This next cat is found in Rakugai (East Umekojicho) near the Scarecrow Chateau and is initially fairly easy to please. It’s hungry, so feed it food. Eventually, though, it gets picky and requires two rather specific fish to finish the sidestory. The first is a Sea Bream, which can be bought from the fishmonger in Fushima. The second is the rarest of sea fish, the Bluefin Tuna,so players should grab the best possible sea fishing rod and sail out to bring it in.
After the cat is satisfied, players are able to bring it home, where it helps out the other cats by bringing Ryouma bonus items when he fulfills business requests.
The Lucky Cat
The final cat is the Lucky Cat, found in Rakugai near the Shrine, on Karasuma Street.This cat simply wants money and trades it for good fortune.In total players will have to pay this cat 2 ryo and 1000 mon before it’s happy to join the farm.
