Arguably the biggest addition to aYakuza(nowLike a Dragon) game in a long time, DonDoko Island is far from just a “mini” game inLike a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. On DonDoko Island, Ichiban helps to bring a resort back to its former glory by clearing trash, collecting materials, and crafting projects to entice guests into spending money.

But when Kasuga gets to DonDoko Island, the vast majority of buildable areas are locked off. By clearing out areas, and raising the Resort Rank to unlock access to new areas, Kasuga can slowly reclaim all of DonDoko Island to build more attractions on.

Though some of these areas may seem prohibitively expensive to clear, returning every day to clear trash can significantly decrease the cost as each area rises from F to S-tier.

Entrance

When Kasuga first arrives on DonDoko Island, and after going through the introduction and basic tutorials, players are presented with their first major goal:raise your Satisfaction and Appeal, and clear out the Entrance and the Great Tree areas.

The Entrance comprises much of the front area of the main island, making it very accessible. Alongside the eastern fields unlocked by clearing the Great Tree area, this area is the best place to put buildings well into DonDoko Island progression.

To get to the Entrance from the Kasuga’s House fast travel point, simply turn around and walk down the stairs towards the shop – the two fields, separated by the main road, make up the Entrance area.

Great Tree

The Great Tree and the Entrance make up two parts of the first Dondoko Island Rank goal. Clearing The Great Tree means clearing each of the areas on the eastern half of the fields at the main area of DonDoko Island.

While The Entrance makes up the field on the west side of the main road, the Great Tree area makes up everything on the other side. Clear Trash near the Great Tree itself (behind the shop), as well as trash in the field near Gachapin Beach.

To get to the Great Tree from the Kasuga’s House fast travel point, turn around, head down the stairs, and run past the shop. The Great Tree is comprised of the area in between the shop and Gachapin Beach on the eastern side.

Hills

The Hills and the Lighthouse make up the second main goal for Kasuga inreaching Rank 2 for DonDoko Island. The Hills is the cheaper of the two, and unlocks a slightly smaller area connected to the Entrance. It’s not a bad idea to use this area for workbenches and other Island upgrade DIY recipes, as it’s a bit out of the way for guests.

To get to the Hills from the Kasuga’s House fast travel point, head south down the stairs, follow the path, then head up the large stairway that leads southwest from the corner of The Entrance.

Lighthouse

The Lighthouse, along with The Hills, is an area that must be cleared to reach Rank 2 on DonDoko Island. The more expensive of the two, the Lighthouse actually has a decent amount of space for guests and facilities, and can be a good place to put Lodgings alongside a handful of Dokobuck-generating buildings.

To get to the Lighthouse from the Kasuga’s House fast travel point, head diagonally across the fields at the entrance heading southeast. At the corner of The Great Tree’s southernmost field, there should be a staircase leading upward towards the Lighthouse.

Fields

For Rank 3, Kasuga must clear two more areas: The Fields, and The Lake. The problem is, Kasuga could reach the trashed areas on foot before, but The Fields and The Lake are both blocked by broken bridges. To get to both of these areas, players must spend 200,000 Dokobucksto repair the bridge.

After that, the Fields becomes accessible, but it still needs to be cleared. The Fields makes up half of another enormous area for buildings and facilities, but the eastern fields adjacent to it – The Caves – are blocked off until later on in DonDoko progression.

To get to the Fields from the Kasuga’s House fast travel point, head behind the house to Mukku Beach on the western coast, then go north to find the bridge. Pay 200,000 Dokobucks to repair the bridge here, then head across to start clearing out the Fields .

Lake

The Lake is the first area that Ichiban can unlock that doesn’t require being cleared. You must still pay to repair the bridge that leads to The Lake, but after that (and after beating some Washbucklers) the area becomes open. It’s not great for placing down objects, butit’s lush with materialsand even a special Fishing spot with some of the game’s best fish.

To get to the Lake from the Kasuga’s House fast travel point, head east across the Entrance and Great Tree areas towards Gachapin Beach, and pay 200,000 Dokobucks to repair the bridge to The Lake.

Cave

The Cave and The Forest are connected, but just like The Lake and The Fields , these areas are inaccessible until a bridge has been repaired. The cost doesn’t increase, fortunately.

Once unlocked, the Cave makes up the other half ofone of the biggest areasfor building in DonDoko Island. With the Fields unlocked already, clearing the Cave area gets rid of the barrier between the two zones and creates an enormous, connected area that’s a perfect second hub for guests and activities.

To get to the Cave from the Kasuga’s House fast travel point, turn around and head to the Collection Point, then continue on the path northward. Pay 200,000 to repair the bridge that leads across the chasm to access the area and start clearing trash.

Forest

The Forest is the last of the DonDoko Island areas that Ichiban can unlock, and requires the most amount of Dokobucks and highest Build Talent level to clear. Not only is it also locked behind a bridge, it costs a base ofonemillionDokobucks to clear. This, of course, goes down as more trash is cleared, but it’s still quite a lot.

After completing it, though, the Island will likely have finally reached four stars Resort Rank, and unlock a handy shortcut. The area is very dense in materials, even when cleared, and is worth heading to often for lots of environmental materials. When the Cave is cleared, the Cave itself becomes traversable, unlocking a major shortcut between the Forest and the enormous Fields/Cave zone.

To get to the Forest from the Kasuga’s House fast travel point, head to The Great Tree itself (next to the Shop), and head north. Pay the 200,000 to repair the bridge, then cross to start clearing trash.

DonDoko Farm

DonDoko Farm is an area that’s a bit different than the other unlockable areas on DonDoko Island inInfinite Wealth. Here, Ichiban can train Suijimon, put his Suijimon to work on a variety of material-producing activities, and collect a huge number of some of the minigame’s rarest insects and fishwith his trusty net and harpoon.

To unlock DonDoko Farm, players must reach Three Star Resort status, then wait one day. DonDoko island doesn’t have any other prerequisites, a cutscene will play in which Kasuga is brought to DonDoko Farm, which itself is on another nearby island.
