And along with the original game, the remastered edition will include the prequel game surrounding Chloe and Rachel,Before the Storm, so players can experience Chloe Price’s stunning story in its entirety. As the animation below might suggest,Life is Strange: True Colorsis set in the same universe as the originalLife is Strange, and many fans theorize the upcoming gamecanonizes the “bae” endingfrom the original game. Additionally,True Colorsties together the events ofBefore the Storm.

A familiar face fromBefore the Storm,Steph Gringrichwill appear in the upcomingLife is Strangeinstallment. Much like how the prequel game confirmed her as a queer character, interested in Chloe’s love interest Rachel, she will be a romantic love interest for Alex. It’s possible that Steph’s presence in the game might shed some light on the official fate of Arcadia Bay. Fans of the franchise can also check out theLife is Strangecomic series to find out more about the “bae” ending, the events that follow, and how Alex’s story connects with Chloe and Max’s.

As forTrue Colors, a recent E3 showcasehighlighted how Alex’s power of empathywill work, further hyping up the game for its release this fall. Alex can use her powers to dive into the minds of others and use this information to make decisions along the way. However, if the user’s emotions are too powerful, Alex may experience hallucinations, visualizing their inner struggle.

While fans can expect to see Alex’s heart-wrenching tale pan out in September,Life is Strange Remasteredhas yet to get a firm release date. Nintendo Switch preorders for both games will open at a later date.

Life is Strange: True Colorswill be available September 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
