The cozy town of Crescent Cove serves as the backdrop for the movie, and many of its classic scenes take place downtown, such as the trashing of the convenience store, the lethal puppet show at the gazebo, and Shorty’s pugilistic run-in with the biker gang. The newly revealed map has a distinctly Californian feel to it, offering both an open-space plaza as well as more tightly confined areas like building interiors, which should provide a lot of strategic options for Klowns on the hunt and the humans trying to escape them or fight back.Killer Klownswill feature three-on-seven matches, with the underpowered humans outnumbering their would-be predators, although theKlowns will be aided by AI Lackeysthat will make it harder for humans to sneak around unnoticed. The biggest difference between the game and the movie seems to be that in the game, the Klowns can win.
Killer Klowns from Outer Spacewill release on June 4, but players who pre-ordered either the Standard or Deluxe Edition will be able to play a week early, starting on May 28. In addition to getting a week of early access, pre-order customers will also receive some rare cosmetic options to use in the game.
