Responding to the fans' tweet, Gunn wrote, “Yes, guys, calm down.” Later, to further instill thatPeacemakeris doing perfectly fine, Gunn shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the show’s second season. The photo Gunn shared depicts one of the show’s actors, Jenniffer Holland, eating a salad with fake blood spread all over her face. It was proving that the show’s next season is coming along smoothly.

Peacemakeris aspinoff series ofThe Suicide Squad, which was a reimaged version of the originalSuicide Squadthat didn’t perform as well as the studio expected. However, Gunn’s reimagined version was well received by critics and audiences. It paved the way for actor John Cena to score his own spinoff series for his character Peacemaker, who appeared inThe Suicide Squad.

Gunn assuring fans that the hit seriesPeacemakerwill be released has definitely eased some major nerves that have arisen since theBatgirlshock and the cancellations that have come before with a handful of the DCtelevision series likeNaomiandLegends of Tomorrow. Warner Bros. has confirmed that other projects like the upcomingTheFlashmovie starring Ezra Miller will be released in theaters on its set date.

It’s been stated that Warner Bros. has been making these major changes due to the studio wanting to save money and also for the studio to refocus its content on theatrical releases, which will ultimately rake in more revenue than streaming debuts. Nonetheless, these choices to scrap projects have not been making fans very happy, as they trust the studio to bring these comic book stories to life on both the big and small screen.
