Now, Jake Paul again returns to controversy as he makes a poorly received joke on Twitter. With buzz around who Jake’s next opponent will be, with some even thinking he will go on tofight Conor McGregor, the young fighter took to Twitter to falsely reveal who his next opponent will be. In a Twitter post, Jake Paul showed himself in a photoshopped image next to Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating “big news. Tickets on sale next week.”

Many responded to Jake Paul’s tweet, which gained controversy due to therecent war between Russia and Ukraine, calling the influencer out for his poor timing and joke that went too far. “How is this even funny,” said one Twitter user, while others sought to make fun of Jake Paul, such as one user that stated Putin is “not a boxer, and he’s like almost 3x your age, so this sounds like a fight you would want.”

Jake’s brother Logan responded to the Tweet saying that Putin “needs to be putin his place,” however this joke was also met with a critical response. While both Paul brothers have high ambitions, withLogan even stating he will run for President, comments like these remind many that the young men are still prone to creating controversy. Whether this is by their own mistake or for media attention is debatable, yet many are still claiming the jokes are inappropriate nonetheless.
