While being able to play with friends on other platforms through cross-play inCall of Duty: Warzoneis undeniably beneficial,  it has brought about some noteworthy problems as well. As shown in a recent video from YouTuber JackFrags, PC users have a major advantage overCall of Duty: Warzonefans on console.

JackFrags’ video focuses on two specific problems caused by cross-play, and neither of the highlighted issues are tied toCall of Duty: Warzone’s cheatingproblem. While cross-play between PC and consoles has made aimbots, wallhacks, and other mods more prevalent on PlayStation and Xbox, this issue has been covered heavily by other content creators. Instead, JackFrags turns his attention to filters and the consistently important FOV slider.

Starting with the filters, JackFrags points out how PC players can change the visuals ofCall of Duty: Warzonewith NVIDIA filters. For example, players can brighten up the shadowy corners of Verdansk with the press of a button, allowing them to see players lurking in the darkness or hiding under staircases. WithCall of Duty: Warzonecampersloving spots like these, having such an ability is crucial to success, as PC owners can spot clever players with ease.

As pointed out by JackFrags, console players do not have this luxury. As such, the YouTuber pushes for the ability to use filters to be removed from the PC toolset, ensuring that all players remain on equal footing. The constant drama regardingRoze’s invisible Rook skinis used as evidence for the filters feature being too strong, as the NVIDIA adjustments allow players to see the pitch black skin with ease.

The other issue the YouTuber spotlights in his video relates to FOV sliders, asCall of Duty: Warzoneplayerson console have wanted this feature for an entire year. Unfortunately, there has been no sign of such an addition being made, which is a shame given the power of such a setting. JackFrags demonstrates how players see the game on consoles, turning the FOV to 80. When he boosts the slider up to 105, he can see a player that would be completely off-screen on the 80 FOV level. With field-of-view drastically improving peripheral vision, the feature seems necessary.

Part of the reason thatCall of Dutyfans have pushed so hard for an FOV slider on consoles is because they know it is possible. After all, withCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s settingsfeaturing an FOV slider on PlayStation and Xbox,Call of Duty: Warzoneshould have one as well.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
