TheSplinter Cellremake was unexpectedly revealed by Ubisoftin December 2021, with nothing more than a behind-the-scenes developer video and a hiring announcement. At the time, the French publisher didn’t share much information on the title, since it was so early in production. It did reveal, however, that Ubisoft Toronto—the creators of 2013’sSplinter Cell: Blacklist—would be the studio tasked with leading development on the game. Recently, though, Ubisoft announced that its Toronto division is now collaborating on another project, as the studio is currently working alongside Ubisoft Montreal on thePrince of Persia: Sands of Timeremake. Some took this as a sign that the nextSplinter Cellgame may have wrapped up production and could be close to release, but it sadly appears that isn’t the case.
