Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman has taken to social media to share a peek at his bulking diet ahead of reprising his most famous role in the upcomingDeadpool 3.The actor, who also has a notable career on Broadway, is well-known for his superhuman physique when called upon.One of the most popular characters under the auspice of comics industry giant Marvel Comics, The Wolverine is a mutant with a dark and murky past who has always featured prominently in X-Men comics and solo titles. One of his more engaging associates is Deadpool, who also emerged from the dreaded Weapon X program. Wolverine. Again.” The attached images show six packed meals set out for Jackman’s day, withVarietygiving a whopping calorie estimate of 8,000 units.

This sort of effort is nothing new for Jackman, who has alwaysdenied using steroids to get into shape for Wolverine. In addition to the grueling dietary requirements placed on him, Jackman has not slacked in the gym, with the star reportedly starting intense training to play Wolverine inDeadpool 3as early as October 2022. With these two factors working in tandem, there’s little doubt that fans and first-time viewers are in for a Wolverine in stellar fighting form, all the better for Jackman to deliver on his promise of an ‘angry’ Wolverine in the upcoming movie. Whatever the final visual is, there is zero chance of anyone going home disappointed in Jakcman’s effort to get in superhuman shape.

Despite the excitement the majority of the Marvel fanbase is feeling, there is a smaller contingent that believes the character’s addition inDeadpool 3is a bit of a misstep, with many wondering what the point ofthe character’s stellar send-off inLoganis in light of his return to the big screen. While the character’s inclusion will boostDeadpool 3, Jackman may have gone some distance in tarnishing the clean, satisfying break he was granted from the iconic role in 2017.

Deadpool 3is set for a June 27, 2025, theatrical release in the US.
