Despite the wonder of magic and the alluring world it manages to build,the absence of Quidditchmeant that some series fans were never fully satisfied. Now though, WB Games and developer Unbroken Studios seem destined to right this wrong with the announcement ofHarry Potter: Quidditch Champions.
Described as a fast-paced, competitive multiplayer game featuring the world’s most iconic magical sport, this will be an entirely standalone experience focused entirely on Quidditch. Players will be given the freedom to create personalized characters to jump onto flying broomsticks, with Unbroken Studios having spent several years working on the game now. Of course, the fact that it will plug a pretty glaring gap that was inHogwarts Legacywill see plenty of attention, especially when there isan upcoming playtest forHarry Potter: Quidditch Championsto be a part of.

As per the official FAQ forHarry Potter: Quidditch Champions, the game will be in limited playtests in the not-too-distant future. Interested players can. Once there, they’ll need to confirm that they areat least 18 years oldand then sign in with aWB Games account. Next, they’ll have to provide some basic information about their gaming habits, such as the type of games that they like to play and their platforms of choice. It’s all relatively simple, though it’s important to note that registration does not guarantee entry.
The game, which will launch on both PC and consoles, does not yet have a release date. However, the developers did share to expect fromHarry Potter: Quidditch Champions. As a multiplayer affair, a persistent internet connection is required, and players can either join the fun solo or team up with friends or others online. Outside of the sport of Quidditch, there is set to be other kinds of broomstick adventures that will be possible in the game.
Just likeHogwarts Legacy, whichperformed beyond expectations, the project has little association with the controversial author J.K. Rowling. While the game is inspired by the author’s original stories,Harry Potter: Quidditch Championsaims to be a new and immersive experience that is being put together by developers who are fans and have been inspired by the Wizarding World.
