Disney Dreamlight Valleyis filled with a whole lot of Disney and Pixar characters, each with an exciting story. The new expansion,A Rift in Time, has brought new characters and their quests for players to complete.
Rapunzelis a beloved character from theTangledmoviewho has recently joined the Dreamlight Valley withA Rift in Timeexpansion. However, the gorgeous princess cannot be a part of the valley unless she is unlocked. Unlike other characters in the valley, she has three story quests, so players will need to complete all three to unlock her. Read the following guide and learn how to get Rapunzel inDisney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Complete The Ancient Door Quest
Before players set on a journey to unlock Rapunzel, they need to unlock the new handy tool,The Royal Hourglass, to clear away the rocks.
Find Rapunzel in Wild Tangle and Talk to Her
Once players have purchased the expansion,A Rift in Time, they can travel to Eternity Isle and look for Rapunzel there. However, they won’t be able to find her right away. First, they must make enough progress to fix the bridge leading to Glittering Tunes and Wild Tangle. Once players have successfully repaired the bridge, they can cross it and reach Wild Tangle. To spot Rapunzel, look behind the waterfall next to a giant door.
After finding Rapunzel, players will have to talk to her to initiate The Ancient Door quest. The first step is to get rid of thegray floating rocks scattered around the waterfall using the Royal Hourglass. The last rock will drop aSun Core piece, so players should talk to the princess about it, who will ask them to look for two more Sun Core pieces around Eternity Isle.
All Sun Core Pieces Locations
One piece can be found inThe Courtyard area opposite the Hologram Station in Ancient’s Landing, while the other one is located inThe Plains region near the area’s Wishing Wellnext toGoofy’s Stall.
After finding both Sun Core pieces, go to a crafting station and make Sun Core. Now head back to Rapunzel and unlock the Ancient Door behind the waterfall using Sun Core. Once done, pass beyond the door with Rapunzel and talk to her again.
How to Complete The Sundial Quest
After players enter the area, they’ll see aSundial and another Sun Coreon the ground right next to it. It will start floating around as they approach the Sun Core, so they should chase and catch it. Once they have it, they should interact with the Sun Mechanism and speak to Rapunzel again.
During the conversation, she will ask players torepair the Sundial Mechanismusing Sundial Gears. These gears are pretty easy to spot, butplayers will need 10. They are scattered throughout the Eternity Isle. However, some of them will be floating, so Dreamers will have to chase after them.
All Sundial Gears Locations
Players will find one Sundial Gear rightoutside the Sundial Isle. Now head toThe Grasslandsand collect three Sundial Gears; one will be stationary, and the other two will be flying. Look for two more stationary gears inThe Plains. Dreamers should explore theGlittering Dunesbiome a little more and collect one more stationary gear and two flying ones. With all the Sundial Gears in hand, return to Rapunzel and reach the Statue of Time with her.
Once there, remove the gray floating rocknear the statueand pick up the diary page, which will reveal that Mother Gothel wanted to experiment with the Jewel of Time. Players should talk to Rapunzel about it, who will reveal that Mother Gothel has a chest in the tower. Therefore, they will need to visit the tower and investigate the chest. This will start The Tower quest, the last story quest to unlock Rapunzel.
How to Complete The Tower Quest
Rapunzel’s tower is located inThe Grove region in the Wild Tangle biome. Those who’ve never visited the place will need to unlock it first using4,000 Mist.
Once players have unlocked The Grove, they should meet Rapunzel at her tower. Upon talking to her, players will find out that the tower’s walls are too crumbly to climb, so Rapunzel comes up with the idea of growing vines to climb the tower. The next step involvesfinding Vine Seedsin The Plains area in Glittering Dunes.
All Vine Seed Locations
To collect Vine Seeds, players will have to make their way to The Plains. The first seed can be foundnext to Wishing Well to the left of the Hologram Station. To find it, look for a shiny spot on the ground and dig it upusing the shovel.
After collecting it, turn right and look for shiny spotsnear the sand lakeand gather the second Vine Seed. The last Vine Seed isnear a large tree opposite the stairs that connect The Oasis to The Plains.
After finding Vine Seeds, head back to Rapunzel’s tower and get rid of the Swirling Sands around it using the Royal Hourglass tool. Following this,plant the Vine Seedsin thetower’s base, interact with the tower, and head inside.
After clearing the Swirling Sands inside the tower, open Mother Gothel’s chest andcollect the Jewel of Time found behind it. After that, open the storage chest again, get Rapunzel’s paints, and hand them over to the princess to complete the quest.
